Scripture reference:  Luke 13:10-13

Sermon notes
1) Focus on and understand her condition and how long she had it.
  -Her condition was caused by an (evil) spirit of infirmity.
  -Her condition was beyond any natural or human ability to provide correction or relief.
  -After 18 years, she knew that her only hope was in God and God alone.

2) Her condition didn't stop her pursuit of God's word.
  -She came to the synagogue (church) not be healed, but to receive God's word.
  -Her infirmity put her in a position where she could only focus on what was directly in front of her - Jesus.
  -Everyone in the synagogue saw her in her infirmity as normal, but Jesus saw her as a willing vessel to show his power.

3) The healing of the woman came in two parts.
  -Jesus spoke to the woman and told her she was loosed/freed, although she didn't immediately stand up.  All it takes is one word from God to change everything.
  -Jesus put his hands on the evil spirit that had gripped her so he could demonstrate his authority and power over all spirits.
  -She sealed her healing through her praise and worship.
