Listen "Silence in a Year Day 56 Nourished Abundantly"

Episode Synopsis

Cardinal Sarah talks about devoting time with Jesus to be nourished ABUNDANTLY. Meaning in large quantities/plentifullyMt 6:21 says “where your treasure is, that is where your heart is” I have mentioned in earlier episodes that I was not always so devoted to prayer. My time was spent being a taxi for my children driving them from activity to activity and when not doing that I was working. Not a good excuse but that is what I told myself. It was during Lent that I would try to do better but not always successful. However, as my relationship with God grew my devotion also grew and He showed me that He was always with me, giving me courage to do things I never thought I could do, like a podcast where I shared my faith with you. He became my Light in the darkness; Is chapter 58 says “Then light shall rise for you in the darkness, and the gloom shall become for you like midday; Then the LORD will guide you always”. St Augustine said “since love grows within so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soul” Do you feel God’s beauty and love in the silence of your heart? How much time do we devote to God? If you knew that God would bless you abundantly would the time you spent with Jesus grow? He already did, by dying on a cross to save us from death. Now consider how much time you spend devoted to your hobbies?
