Episode Synopsis

I may be aging myself when I say that I have been fouled by a door-to-door salesman. No, they do not do that anymore, but they did when I was less experienced. These nifty salesmen would talk all about how great their product was, how it would change your life. They got you full line and sinker. You would agree to purchase the product, sign on the dotted line. The salesman would leave your house as happy as a clam. After they left you would turn on the light and read the entire document that you agreed upon only to realize that you did not see the fine print. The print that is hard to see with the naked eye. You realize that you have been fooled and you did not see the full picture. The salesman was only showing and telling you what you wanted to hear. How often do we portray a picture of ourselves that we want others to see? Maybe because we are embarrassed or ashamed of what people may see. It takes more effort to be someone that we are not than to work on improving our weaknesses. God wants our whole being, the good, the bad, and the ugly because he can work in each one of those areas. And let’s be honest, God sees it all, so who are we really fouling, only ourselves. I find that when I feel good on the inside, the outside falls into place. I watched my father fix cars when I was growing up and the first thing he did was take it apart and figure out what was broken, he fixed the inside then put it back together, more often than not, the outside did not look any different than before the inside was fixed, but after it was fixed the car ran smoothly. On day 13 we talked about friendship and the love of our Friend Jesus and how it is unconditional. Allow your Friend, Jesus, to work in the silence of your heart and mend what needs to be mended, so everyone around you can see the full picture of who you are, a loving and kind child of God.
