Some of the greatest examples I have received in my life have been in the silence - without words. I was on a retreat one time and we were having adoration and there was this one lady that just lingered and gazed at the blessed sacrament for quite a bit longer after everyone had left. This was eight years ago and I have never forgotten that moment because she spoke to me in the silence of that moment as I looked at her gazing upon Jesus Himself. There was something deep within her gaze that was just captivating. I could see how important God was in her life. I do not know what she was thinking. I never said a word to her about it for the entire weekend. But God spoke to me through her that night. We all have these moments where silence reclaims its nobility from the noise of the world. These moments often go to the very depth of who God has created each one of us to be.
