Listen "Ep 29 | Devorah Levine Katz | Warm Hug of the Gush"
Episode Synopsis
Devorah Levine Katz is someone I’ve known nearly my whole life—we grew up together in the same Jewish community in Toronto, shaped by shared values, deep Zionist roots, and families who believed fiercely in Israel. Today, she’s built a life in Gush Etzion as a mother of five, an educator, and among many other ventures, the beating heart behind Pat B’Melach and now Meshek 48, where people come to feel nourished—body and soul. This conversation was raw and real. We talked about the quiet heartbreak of being a parent in Israel right now, about how much we’ve changed since October 7, and what it means to carry all of that while still showing up for our families, our communities, and ourselves. Sitting with Devorah felt like something between a release and a return—full of honesty, tears, laughter, and moments that felt almost sacred. It’s one of the most emotionally charged interviews I’ve ever done, and I’m honored to share it with you. Am Yisrael Chai!
