Justin de Vries and Philip Haut of the band House of Light joined Mark and Hannah for a free wheeling discussion of music and so much more


Justin grew up in Australia, but found himself hitchhiking around Europe, where he ended up in Berlin and formed the band which is influenced by postpunk, shoegaze, goth and Abba (!). He is in LA right now and gave his thoughts on remixing, political correctness, interracial dating, several Australian bands and how he wants his vocals much louder on his upcoming 3rd album.


Philip is from the Virginia area and gave a clinic on the GoGo music scene in the late 1980s, and what is was like to be a GoGo drummer at the time. He is the American drummer for HOL and has trouble knowing when the beat comes in on some of the trickier songs. He also is an engineer and has a few anecdotes about recording LL Cool J interviewing Dr. Dre on Sirius XM
