Listen "The True King and the Thunder of God"
Episode Synopsis
In today’s Coffee with the Superintendent, we open the Word to 1 Samuel 12:1–18 where Samuel reminds Israel of God’s faithfulness, warns them of the weight of rejecting His kingship, and points us toward the ultimate fulfillment of leadership in Christ. We see how Israel’s demand for a king foreshadows our deep need for Jesus, the righteous and eternal King who delivers us from sin and reigns in truth.
In the Second Pour, we pause to celebrate birthdays for alumni Dain Shim and Nasir Gibson, along with Savannah (4th grade), Trindon (1st grade), and Allana (Kindergarten). Lunch today is deli sandwiches, our football team plays Liberty Christian at 7 pm on Reid Ross field at Tokay Park, and don’t forget—it’s picture day!
