Listen "Overcoming Evil with Good: A Day of Remembrance and Renewal"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Coffee with the Superintendent, we reflect on the weight of tragedy and the hope of the gospel. From the remembrance of September 11th to the recent acts of violence in our nation and communities, we open the Scriptures to Romans 12:14–21 and consider how believers are called to overcome evil with good. In Christ, we learn to bless when cursed, to weep with the hurting, and to place vengeance in the hands of God.
Then, in the Second Pour, we celebrate birthdays for Keenon McIver and Amy Oh, along with Madison (10th), Isabella (5th), Sofia (3rd), Trip (4th), and Gabriel (1st). Lunch is pizza, our Volleyball and Soccer teams head to Fayetteville Academy, and we gather together for our first quarterly convocation. It’s a day for reflection, remembrance, and rejoicing as we continue to walk in God’s goodness as a school family.
