It's another Torment a Scammer Episode!I received one of those fake emails that claimed I was on the hook for some McAfee software. (OF COURSE, ALL OF THESE ARE FAKE. THEY ARE DESIGNED TO GET YOU RILED UP SO YOU CALL THEIR EVIL IMPOSTOR HELP DESK.) So, I decided to call, or rather, Foghorn Leghorn did. When I got too much for them, they told me not to worry about it, so I kept calling them back, over and over, begging them for tech support.Next, Foghorn got a fake email claiming to be from PayPal. I called them up and read the entire message, including the fake transaction ID. The guy claimed to be from California but knew nothing about surfing. He then asked if I was a veteran, presumably to prey on some VA benefits. Despicable.I've thrown in one last little bonus one, and then we go our separate ways until next week. Thanks for telling your friends about the show, and remember, if you have Chromebooks (or Intel Macs) laying around, THEY CAN BE Minted and used for many years to come!
