Episode Synopsis "John DiGravio | Viewpoint Diversity at Williams College"

This is The College Try, the first in a series of interviews with remarkable American undergraduates. The College Try is produced at Bedrock Educational Consultants, where academic freedom lives in Vietnam. Join us as we explore western thought in service of liberal education in the east. John DiGravio is a sophomore at Williams College. In John’s first year at the school, he founded the Williams College Society for Conservative Thought. Now in it’s second year, the society has attracted bipartisan interest and administrative support on an otherwise mostly politically uniform campus. John’s efforts were recognized by the New York Times in a profile published last year. In our conversation, John describes his first impressions of Vietnam, the value of western classics and liberal education, and how he’s been successful creating a space for viewpoint diversity at Williams.
