Entrepreneurship is often glamorized, but the emotional rollercoaster it entails is seldom discussed. Building a business can take a long time, and the process can be challenging for the entrepreneur and their loved ones; especially given that many coaches lack the knowledge of building a business, which can make navigating the ups and downs difficult – even for someone who makes a living helping others analyze their emotional experiences. However, the lessons learned through the venture, and the process of coaching others, can boost one’s self-confidence and can help make one a better coach.
While some people may become employed as a coach, others may prefer to build a part or full-time business or community. The route to coaching is varied; as a result, coaches should identify their unique path and focus on prioritizing the pieces that matter most in building the career they want.
