Listen "The Clear Cut: Year in Review"
Episode Synopsis
2023 was a wild and knowledge-packed year. We learned about the flaws in Canada’s forest carbon accounting system, and the problematic nature of forest management practices in British Columbia and Ontario. Our guest speakers took us on a journey to understand the case for a transition strategy of Canada’s fibre economy, and why it’s important that we include Indigenous knowledge systems into forest policy. And finally, we discussed the need to integrate nature and climate as we tackle the climate and biodiversity crises head on. In this recap episode, we break down some of our favorite moments from The Clear Cut this year.To those of you listening to the podcast, happy new year!
