Episode Synopsis "Episode 03: Stand Up Comic"

Roger Heredia got his first taste of the show biz bug during high school where he had full access to a student run  television studio. He took that to college where he studied broadcasting and communications and, like countless other comics, tried his hand at an open mic. He was hooked! Hooked on that feeling of being on a stage, making people laugh, and as he puts it, having others pay him attention as he “pontificates” on the mic. After college, he found his way from New York to Los Angeles and started working on his craft, networking in the stand up world, and eventually made his way to headlining shows, which I can assure you is no easy feat. But what happens when during your chase you see the ugly, the things you either didn’t know about or just couldn’t handle? In this episode, Roger goes deep to tell us how in the midst of his journey, he decided to step away from it all, for the sake of his own health and sanity. It was a fascinating talk with a friend about a decision that after adulthood I learned to respect more than I can ever imagine.
