He maintains (and sometimes tests) his sanity by nerding out with his children, running through North Portland's industrial landscapes, and overanalyzing everything with his wife. He wrote and co-created (with artist Cassie Anderson) Lifeformed: Cleo Makes Contact and Lifeformed: Hearts and Minds, which were published by Dark Horse Comics in 2017 and 2019. In 2021, Matt launched ThoughtScape Comics, a sci-fi anthology series in the tradition of 2000AD, Black Mirror, and The Twilight Zone, on Kickstarter. The project earned over $9500 and garnered over 400 backers. ThoughtScape Comics features stories written by Matt and drawn by an amazing array of indie comics artists. Hosted on Acast.
