Kendama is odd. Many of us are grown adults playing with a traditional Japanese toy—and we freaking love it.

We share a lot of similarities with other communities. That’s why this week, Alex Gara, the Odditer-in-Chief at Oddball Sports TV is joining me to invite Kendama into a broader network of Oddball communities (bocce, ski-ball, etc.) Because we have more in common than you may recognize! Alex is the Odditor-in-Chief of Oddball Sports and Founder of American Bocce Company. He lives in Chicago by way of Detroit and embodies that Midwest hustle and pride. He has dedicated his career to bocce ball, with the goal of getting bocce back in the Olympics in 2028. At a party, he’ll almost always try to push for a game of Catchphrase, which he considers the second greatest game of all time.
