Listen "How I Overcame A Bad Injury #129"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, I share the story of how I tore my calf playing hurling — and more importantly, how I approached the healing process both physically and mentally. That first night, I allowed myself to sit with the frustration and disappointment, really feeling the emotions instead of pushing them away. But the very next morning, I made a decision: I wasn’t going to feel sorry for myself. I was going to focus on healing. From there, everything became about small, intentional steps. I set tiny goals to build momentum, and each one gave me progress to celebrate. I restructured my training program to focus on rehab work, and I made sure to keep training my non-injured leg so I could maintain as much strength as possible. One of the most powerful shifts I made was in how I spoke to myself. Not once did I speak negatively about my leg or my situation. Instead, I treated the injury as part of my journey, not the end of it.This episode is a reminder that setbacks don’t have to define us. With the right mindset, structure, and patience, recovery can become an opportunity for growth.👉 Ready to take ownership of your health and performance?
