Listen "Ep. 6: Kenny Matthews & Bronzson Woods - Social Entrepreneurs | Phnom Penh, Cambodia"

Episode Synopsis

On the eve of the Cambodian New Year, we’re bringing in two former Cambodian missionaries, Kenny Matthews and Bronzson Woods. Kenny and Bronzson both served their LDS missions to Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 2009-2011.
Following the conclusion of their missions, they both returned to Cambodia to found social ventures in the country. Bronzson founded an outsourced breast milk production company called Ambrosia Labs which won the awards “Best Product” and “Best Venture” from the BYU Ballard Center for Social Impact. Kenny founded the country’s first operating dairy farm, Moo Moo Farms which, at its peak employed around 30 people and was selling around 700 liters of milk per day. Since their ventures in Cambodia, Kenny and Bronzson have become business partners and are working on their second start-up business together. They both currently live in Utah County and between their two respective families have a total of 7 kids.
In this episode, we talk about some of the keys to successful social entrepreneurship in developing nations, the unique window that missions provide for sparking ideas in social entrepreneurship, embracing the long feedback loop of a mission, the “all positive” impacts of a mission, burning the boats, and a lot more.
