This week, the Mavens team celebrated their 50th podcast as they sat down to talk with 2020 Media Excellence Award winner Mikhail Solodovnikov, General Manager of T&R Productions & RT America.
Dedicating a career to the world of television, Solodovnikov has worked over the years on a variety of projects. He is currently producing 18 programs acrossvarious facets of entertainment, including cable and mobile applications. One of Solodovnikov's most notable contributions is his work with the late Larry King on the political talk show, “Politicking with Larry King.” Solodovnikov had positive remarks about King,“We were honored to work with him in the same newsroom environment for the last seven years.”
Solodovnikov's work goes beyond the news, including working on bringing sports, that are outside the mainstream, to the small screen, such as cycling. While on the podcast, Solodovnikov explained the process of creating and distributing content, developing streaming apps and how they keep their viewers engaged.
