Listen "Dr Hugh Chilton: Reinventing Education, building expert teaching and learning communities and the power of encouragement."
Episode Synopsis
Today I have another amazing episode from an incredible educator, Dr Hugh Chiltern. He serves as Director of Research and Professional Learning at The Scots College, a leading Presbyterian school for boys in Sydney, Australia. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, his role is to advance the College’s Brave Hearts Bold Minds philosophy.
In this wide-ranging discussion we talked about:
How to build expert communities of knowledge and practice
How schools can begin to see themselves as independent research communities.
Lessons from the pandemic and how we need to respond to these new opportunities.
How small acts of encouragement can significantly change the lives of young people.
It was a huge privilege to speak with Hugh.
