Episode Synopsis
My career in alcoholic beverage sales started in Hawaii in 1994 when I attended the Hawaii Hotel and Restaurant show. I was working as media buyer in an ad agency and a group of us went to the show to see a few of our advertising clients. I saw a Sam Adams tent and was very excited, it was my favorite beer and I proceeded to march right up to the tent and let the person working there know that I should work for the company. Luckily for me they were hiring in Hawaii and 6 months later I had the job.
I spent 14 years with Boston Beer Company and learned so much from Jim Koch and my co-workers. From there I explored a few other beer companies until I was recruited for my current role with Bacardi. I’ve been with BUSA for 9 years now and love the similarities with Boston Beer.
