Listen "Shine a Light - by the Rolling Stones, Cover Song - Leiataua (I Do Not Own The Rights To This Song)"
Episode Synopsis
I've always been a fan of the Rolling Stones and, "Exile on Main Street," is probably my favorite album of theirs. It might be one of my most listened to albums after anything from Bob Marley and Bob Dylan.
This song, in particular, has stuck with me over the years. The last time I played this live was at my friend, mentor, and former professor Bruce Kramer's retirement party at the University of St. Thomas. I can still remember seeing Bruce, surrounded by his loved ones and colleagues, with his eyes shut, head leaned back, smiling and listening to this song. Bruce loved music - all kinds of music.
Although Bruce passed away a few years back from ALS, his spirit still lives on through the words of this song. I hope you enjoy it and may the good Lord continue to "shine a light" on you and your loved ones. Respect and one love.
