J. E. Peterson talks about his research about the history of the Arab region. Peterson is a historian and political analyst specializing in the Arabian Peninsula and Gulf. He obtained his Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University and has worked at the Library of Congress and taught at several universities in the US. He has been a Fellow at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and the Middle East Institute and has served on the editorial boards of several academic journals.
