Dr. Darrin Menard is the physician owner of Scott Family Physicians, an independent primary care practice in Scott, Louisiana. Dr. Menard joins Josh (@ DrJIsrael) and Joe (@JoeShonkwiler) to share some of the challenges of being an independent primary care physician and what it has been like to be a part of an Accountable Care Organization. They discuss two-sided risk contracts and how and why the Louisiana 2016 ACO decided to take on downside risk.
