Hellooooo and welcome back!
Buckle up and get ready for this, our first 2-hour episode. This extended yap sesh can be attributed to missing last week's episode (sorry), this book being a million pages, and a very literal interpretation of happy hour (tee hee). That being said, this week's book was Iron Flame, the second in Rebecca Yarros' The Empyrean series.
We were so excited to read this follow-up to Fourth Wing. Did it blow us away? No. Did it live up to Fourth Wing? Also no. Was it way too long? Yes. But we are too invested in this series to be too mad at it! It was fun and it propelled the story and we can't wait for book 3.
Next week's book: Two Twisted Crowns (The Shepherd King #2) by Rachel Gillig
