Techstination, your destination for gadgets and gear.  I’m Fred Fishkin.  It is Cybersecurity month….I don’t think Hallmark has cards for that yet.  But the folks at Google have some tips on staying safer….including using a password manager.  Google cybersecurity expert Grace Hoyt says the average person has created 15 new accounts since the beginning of the pandemic…for entertainment streaming, gaming, video conferencing and more...
“Google’s password manager is a nifty tool that allows you to store, generate and manage your passwords.  It’s built right into your Google account and your Web browser.  And one of my favorite things about password manager is that in the event that one of your passwords is compromised in a data breach,  password manager will let you know right away so you can change your password with one easy click.”
Another recommendation is to turn on 2-Step verification for your online accounts.
