Host Sinead McCrohan talks to John Kirwan, a third year student in Applied Language and Translation Studies.
'I chose this course specifically because I really wanted to just give all of my attention to language studies in their essence, and not do something like business with the language, or maybe journalism with the language. 'They're great options as well. But I knew this was the one for me in that sense.
'The processes of translating and even interpreting and learning about those things really interested me as well,' he said.
John is also very involved in clubs and societies in DCU, and discusses life on campus.
