Listen "A Case Study: Thinking about Julia"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode, we look at an MLL's writing work. Julia is a third grade student. She has been at an English speaking school for two years. We take a listen to her writing piece and discuss where she falls on the WIDA writing rubric. Note that we only have this one piece of evidence to support WIDA writing rubric levels. If she were actually on a teacher's case load of ESL students, more evidence (including writing samples) would be appropriate to use.
