This week's teacher feature award goes to Denise Abbott of Timpview High School. Mrs. Abbott is the State Advisor of Hosa in Utah (Health Occupations Students of America). Denise is in charge of over 5000 students learning science, teaches 6 classes a day with 36 students in each class. Beverly Watkins nominated Mrs. Abbott and says that "she expects a great deal from each student, and gets the results back she asks for". Mrs. Abbott receives a special recognition award from Zions Bank, an overnight stay at the Anniversary Inn, dinner for two at the Roof Restaurant downtown, and two season passes to the new Hale Center Theater. At the end of the year, one lucky teacher will win the lease of a new car provided by Burt Bros. Tire and Service.
