Listen "Marie Miller - Wooddruff Elementary"
Episode Synopsis
This week's teacher feature award goes to Marie Miller of Wooddruff Elementary School. A parent writes: "She is amazing, kind, caring and smart. I honestly tear up thinking of all she sacrifices for her students to show them how loved and supported they are not only in her classroom but outside of school as well. Mrs. Miller does her best to attend something special the kids are doing in their personal lives. She attended my daughters baptism this past summer and she also goes to other students athletic events. The smiles and excitement they show for their teacher coming to these events says it all." Mrs. Miller receives a special recognition award from Zions Bank, an overnight stay at the Anniversary Inn, dinner for two at the Roof Restaurant downtown, two season passes to the new Hale Center Theater, and a $200 gift card to Walmart. At the end of the year, one lucky teacher will win the lease of a new car provided by Burt Bros. Tire and Service. KSL NewsRadio and Zions Bank are proud to honor Utah's best teachers with the KSL Teacher Feature Awards! Since 1994, Teacher Feature has highlighted outstanding teachers throughout the State of Utah. Winning teachers are announced every Tuesday morning, September through June, on Utah's Morning News with Brian and Amanda.See our website for privacy information.
