Listen "Open Educational Resources"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Talking Around the Library Tree we’re discussing Open Educational Resources. Open educational resources are academic resources, such as textbooks, that are published with an open licence. This means they can usually be shared, downloaded and accessed online, or via reading lists free of charge. This has real benefits for ensuring equitable access for all students to their learning materials. To help us discuss this topic we are joined by Dr Jan Grabowski, Senior Lecturer in Algebra and Geometry, School of Mathematical Sciences at Lancaster University. Jan is currently in the process of publishing an Open Access textbook and will be sharing their experiences of the process and their rational for wanting to publish an open access educational resource."
