Listen "Restoring Alameda Creek: Bringing Salmon Back"
Episode Synopsis
This week on Table Talk we look at efforts to bring salmon and other salmonid species back into Bay Area watersheds and how dam removal and fish ladder installation projects are making that happen. We visit the Alameda Creek to see how efforts there are bringing back thriving fish populations after a dam was replaced with a fish ladder system and how other local water districts are following suit. In this episode, we talk with Jeff Miller from the Alameda Creek Alliance, Bruce King with the Friends of San Lorenzo Creek, and Pete McHugh and Emily McKim from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
