Episode Synopsis
Have you ever thought about who are the hardest-working people in the world? Some people literally have to work 24 hours a day. Why aren’t those people the wealthiest? And when it comes to business or fitness, why doesn’t hard work get you the results you want? Well, Gavin has great guidance to open your mind to what you’re missing. Maybe it’s not about the work you physically need to do, but rather the mental work you need to put in. Gavin McHale was my former coworker and eventually my business coach. He radically change the direction of my life for good during the Covid lockdowns to help me move my business online. When taking his program, although there were some great business tactics, that wasn’t the best part of what I learned.By far the most impactful thing was the mindset changes. In this episode, we discuss the analogous similarities that business owners have with those chasing fitness and healthier lifestyles. And we dive into the key mindset changes that need to happen, when someone’s hard work isn’t working. In this episode we discuss:What made Gavin want to coach other coachesWhy doesn’t more exercise and diet not work? The dangers of the stories we tell ourselvesUnderstanding the reticular activating systemHow to not be afraid of your emotionsThe benefit of moving out of shame to curiosity His book the Consciouspreneur His most recent ambitionIf you enjoy psychology and really want to understand yourself better, this is a great episode for you.
