This episode of Streaming Science features scientist and professor, Dr. Jenny Dauer. Dr. Dauer currently researches science literacy, and how students learn science, at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Before Dr. Dauer came to UNL, she was a post-doctoral reasearcher in the Environmental Literacy group at Michigan State University. She earned a Ph.D. in Forest Science from Oregon State University, and a M.S. in Ecology from Penn State University. During this episode, Dr. Dauer discusses how she reached her current position at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She discusses the obstacles she, and many women, face within the science community, as well as a work-life balance to maintain her positions.
