Listen "Using Marketing to Break Stigma"
Episode Synopsis
I've always wondered about the challenges of marketing when faced with a societal stigma.
On this episode, my guest is Argelia Martinez, a Chicago-born and raised managing director for strategic marketing communications firm Hausworth & Co.
First, she tells me about her current project, promoting the census to communities that have mistrust of government institutions and how her firm partners with community leaders in order to get more minorities to fill it out.
And in the second half of the show, we discuss her work in the legalization of cannabis in Illinois, a substance with a stigma surrounding it that we all know too well.
I think this episode might clear up some misconceptions on both of these topics!
