Quite often you don’t get your flowers, and of course you don’t do things so you get flowers, but when you’ve been contributing for a long time it’s nice to be seen, witnessed, and through the keynote I delivered to the hip hop community in New Zealand, tell them about the ups and downs and the feeling that it’s not working, you don’t fit, you’re an outsider but how thought belief and self-actualisation, a lot of unreasonable things can happen.
So many people are trying to learn how to succeed, but they don’t check into what their belief systems are, they don’t check into their own intuition, they don’t check into their emotional frequencies and vibe with what they’re doing, they’re really processing everything through their conscious mind and trying to be right. What I’ve discovered is that the ‘right’ is irrelevant, effective is everything, and you determine what is effective.
Interestingly, when you talk to billionaires, they don’t talk about the mechanics of things, they don’t talk about money, they don’t talk about systems and processes, they talk about vision. That’s ultimately what they know that through the right vision impact was made. Mastering mechanics does not change the world, having a certain amount of money does not change the world, and it certainly won’t leave a legacy. 
I’ve done a lot of radical and unreasonable things, so I know the truth about facing fear and what luck really is. Luck is not when preparation meets opportunity, luck is when passion meets opportunity. You also have to dream and give yourself permission to play because play is easy and ease is excellence and excellence means you’re going to get rewarded well. Most people don’t connect those dots, they think working hard equals success and in my experience that’s just not true.

‘One of the core tenets of hip hop is about “show improvement”, it doesn’t matter where you’re from or where you’re at, don’t talk about it, be about it. I think that attitude is a beautiful thing for how most communities and societies should be based. Who cares about who or what you are, what are you contributing to?’ ‘Who we think we are is just a story, are you happy with the story you’re telling about who you are, if not, let’s find a new story that has a new identity.’‘I do drink my own Kool Aid, and the reality is that beliefs form behaviours and behaviours form outcomes.’‘If you think money is going to solve your internal ‘stuff’, you’re sadly deluded.’
