Regardless of how you find a home, it's important to reconcile each against your list of Must Haves, Wants, and Nice To Haves to see how good a fit it is. Sometimes, you won't find what you want in the neighborhoods you're looking in and have to widen your search area to consider neighborhoods you know nothing about. Keep in mind that the longer it takes to find a home, the less exciting it will be, so keep yourself on track with an agent who will use your time wisely to get you where you want to be before your tank runs dry.
