Listen "20. ICCC and the Nashville Experience - Part 3! (Saturday)"
Episode Synopsis
This is the final episode of the four-part Nashville Experience series, for what may be the most immersive recap ever of a toy show trip!
Join host David Quinn for an action-packed day as he spends his last 24 hours in Franklin Tennessee at the ICCC sci-fi and vintage toy convention, followed by an evening back at the hotel with friends and collectors.
A marching band opening the convention. A "prototype supercollectors" panel. Meeting the real Yak Face and J'Quille from Return of the Jedi. A fun raffle surprise with the Georgia Alliance of Star Wars Collectors. A carded Double Telescoping Darth Vader. And a look back on one of the most enjoyable collecting trips to date.
Like all toy shows, you never know what you'll find waiting for you in a bin or on a vendor's table. And ICCC had a few surprises, including a scratch test vintage R2-D2 and some preproduction micro pieces!
Thanks to Kyle Rose, Brian Angel, Trent Bailey, Kori Bailey, Robin Bocra, Clifton "Cad Bane" Boggs, Jason "TK-Sparrow" Cain, Sean Crawford, Tim Dry, Matt "Poppin' Tags" George, Mike Havens, Justin Haynie, Anne and Duncan Jenkins, Nilmini Klur, Isaac Lew, Kelly McClain, Dan Loisell, Blake Morgan, Mike Mensinger, David Montauck, Anthony Pagano, Jonathan Robinson, Ron Salvatore, Todd Sheffer, Annie Watkins, Glenn Williams, David Kevin White, and all of the wonderful friends who made this weekend an unforgettable one.
