The aim of this webinar, held during Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and cosponsored by SAGES, ASCRS, SSO, SSAT, NAPRC, and the American Cancer Society, is to highlight and promote the optimal surgical care and quality of life for patients with colon and rectal cancer. Topics covered will range from the prevention and detection of colorectal cancer and the challenges with screening and delayed diagnoses during the time of Covid, to the status and optimal performance of colon and rectal cancer surgery, to future directions in the care of colon and rectal cancer patients with advanced technologies. The focus on patient quality of life and the benefits, impediments and options for minimally invasive oncologic colorectal surgery will be highlighted.
