Listen "Stretch or Stuck"
Episode Synopsis
Happy Wednesday. Today's subject is stretching. Do you allow yourself to stretch and try new things, even little things like a new spice on food or checking out a different news source? My friend RJ describes life as a series of experiments, especially for business owners. When I say experiment, I mean a planned experiment. You find information, set up a few things, try it, and build as you go. This applies to life choices and behaviors as much as it does to entrepreneurship. Both can be scary, but stretching is crucial because if you don't stretch, you get stuck. Think about stretching your muscles. Stretching helps your muscles understand different ways of being. I'm not a physiotherapist, but stretching muscles seems to pull and release chemicals into our bodies, signaling for more protein to build stronger muscles. If you're a physical therapist or physician, I'd love your feedback to explain this better because I'm sure I butchered the idea! When we stretch our conscious and unconscious minds, we can introduce new ideas. Remember defragmenting a computer? You cleaned files out and ran a process to rearrange and sort them, clearing the dust out of corners. I see this as stretching the memory space of your mind. As we stretch our minds, we uncover negative emotions, limiting beliefs, and baggage. We must pull out these negative things while keeping the lessons, just like keeping good files and throwing away bad ones. Afterward, everything has to rearrange, like a 500-piece puzzle falling into place. I've used many analogies and visual metaphors today, but the core takeaway is the importance of stretching your mind, behaviors, and self to avoid getting stuck. When you stop moving and stretching, you get stuck, making it harder and more painful to move next time. Growth and movement are sometimes necessary for survival, and if you haven't stretched in the meantime, it will hurt more. If you have medical or physical therapy knowledge, please share insights on the muscle aspect. Follow me on the podcast and visit https://stacybraiuca.com/connect for more information on how to connect with me. Let's work on stretching, growing, and clearing out old baggage together. Have a great Wednesday.
