Listen "See you in court!"

Episode Synopsis

In 1920, a small group of activists founded the ACLU. Most of them were not lawyers. Today, the ACLU is muscling up its advocacy work and getting a lot of attention for it, from the New York Times to the New Republic to Politico.

In between, the ACLU became the fiercest public interest law organization in the country, litigating some of the most prominent civil rights issues of the 20th and the 21st centuries.

For this episode, we hear from Witold "Vic" Walczak and Mary Catherine Roper, the legal director and deputy legal director, respectively, of the ACLU of Pennsylvania. Vic and Mary Catherine talk about the latest work of ACLU-PA's legal department, which issues are most prominent in civil liberties law right now, and the people behind the lawsuits.
