Lee Dimmitt mentions that the Board has legal authority to take money from the County Attorney’s budget. County Attorney Chauncey Moulding stressed to Lee Dimmitt some of the possible legal ramifications the Board may be facing if the Board reduces his budget. Assistant Jefferson County Attorney Ed Kelly explained the Iowa Supreme Court is retaining this case for themselves to rule on and he urged the Board patience to let the legal process run its course.
