On this VIDEO episode of Southeast Iowa Today John Bain is at the Jefferson County Courthouse in Fairfield, Iowa, where the Board of Supervisors met this morning to discuss and consider attorney representation contract with Skylar Limkemmon Attorney at Smith Mills Law. Assistant County Attorney for Jefferson County Elizabeth Estey was on hand at the Supervisors’ table along with Sheriff Bart Richmond. Supervisors Lee Dimmitt and Joe Ledger were at the table along with Supervisor Susie Drish via telephone. Jefferson County Attorney Chauncey Moulding sat to John’s immediate right as you will see and hear. And, not to be left out Abbie DeKleine was recording the meeting minutes. Assistant County Attorney Estey shared her thoughts on an additional paragraph that the County Attorney’s office recommended be added to the agreement. Sheriff Richmond did not agree with that addition and the Supervisors spent well over an hour discussing it. It all happened September 24, 2025.
