Welcome to Southeast City Church! We're glad you're here. This past Sunday we continued our new series in the strange, dark, and violent book of Judges, looking at the story of Gideon. Gideon is easily one of the most human and relatable characters in the whole Bible. When God comes knocking and calls him to a dangerous and seemingly impossible task, he doesn't respond with robust faith, unwavering devotion, and flawless obedience, but he comes up with every excuse in the book not to go and asks for sign after sign after sign before finally even beginning to obey. How does God respond? And what can we learn for our own lives?
