Listen "[BONUS] Course Announcement"
Episode Synopsis
I’m excited to announce the first of a series of online courses on the Fundamentals of Sound In Marketing. The first of which, Sound’s Power and Influence in Marketing is now available for pre-order at soundinmarketing.com/shop.
In this first course, we'll explore sound and its origin story, advertising and what it was yesterday as well as today, sound's role in decision-making and buying power, and how your brain reacts and responds to sound.
Each lesson is broken up into videos, resources, and links, and will conclude with “homework” for each section. If the homework sends your brain in a different direction of exploring your brand sound, good! My hope and goal is that the lessons will help inspire you to think independently of the lesson structure and transition into real-life application and innovation.
After taking this course, students will have a fundamental grasp of sound in marketing as well as an awareness of the new sound marketing tools and platforms available. Students will understand that sound in marketing is an accessible and attainable tool for brands both big and small and that the future of brand success and relevance lies in experimentation, exploration, and diversification.
The follow-up course, Exploring and Defining a Sonic Identity is anticipated for launch sometime in April.
Next week, we’ll be hearing from Shyamala Prayaga where she’ll be speaking on the autonomous voice of Ford and her former course through the Digital Assistant Academy. A must listen for sure.
Let’s make this world of sound more intriguing, more unique, and more and more on brand.
