What is the point of learning and acquiring knowledge about our history if we don't utilize it when necessary? The symbolism of Sankofa teaches us to look back at our past to understand our present and navigate our future. During my own reflection, it reminded me of one of the most powerful shows I produced in my radio days. The broadcast discussed the need for balance between good and evil, or positivity and negativity. Much of what is happening today is a direct reflection or mirror of past events throughout the decades. Trust and believe, the current events of this year have left us overwhelmed, frustrated, stressed, and grief-stricken.
