Soul Ex Machina is falling back into drum & bass depths from the lab of Daniel Weirdone, who proved his qualities on the label´s debut "Symbol LP". Now it's time to present his first single Cursed Tape / Broke & Broken. It´s the haunting and unsettling vibes, the common name for the both tracks, but more evident in "Cursed Tape". The style of the track balanced on the edge of deep or minimal drum&bass and more broken shapes of genre like drumfunk. Complex, clean and sharp drum patterns cut through eerie cinematic atmospheres and deep basslines making the piece of music which tells the whole story on its own. Need to say that ´ s a horror one. The second side of the single "Broke & Broken" is haunted in different ways. Drum style moves the overall vibe more into autonomic and drumfunk fields. Those fit well with the deep sub bass layer and restless embracing atmosphere with progression going though length of the track. It's cold and grey out there.
