Listen "000 - So What Who Cares?"
Episode Synopsis
Our minds, our world, the human condition - it's an adventure.
We are here to explore practical insights for an impractical mind.
Hosts Lora McCarville and Jeff Kalasky are here to go on this adventure with you. Through their collective experience, curiosities, creative storytelling, and relatable conversations, they will serve as your guides and travel companions!
Lora McCarville has spent years educating herself and teaching others in mindfulness through the lens of somatics and the nervous system. Through movement, yoga, meditation, and bottom-up practices - she helps people change the patterns in the oldest parts of their brains through storytelling, symbolism, psychoeducation, polyvagal theory, play (yes, play is still important for adults!) and so much more. Lora is trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy, Mindful Schools, Movement for Trauma Recovery, Jungian Somatics, Cultural Somatics, and is a 500 hr E-RYT trainer, leading hundreds of students and teaching retreats around the world. She is also a Clinical Hypnotherapist and meditation teacher.
Jeff Kalasky is a self-proclaimed adventurer and podcaster with a Bachelor's in Psychology, and a curiosity to explore the physical and mental worlds around him. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he has seen much of the world, and hopes his unique experiences bring an interesting perspective to Lora's teachings, and another level of relatability for the listeners.
