Mike was inducted into the Snowmobile Hall of Fame in 1988 after competing in Ovals and Cross Country races for Yamaha and Skidoo.
Mike rose to fame being the Dark horse competitor at the 1971 World Championships in Eagle River Wi , not far from his family home.
