A friend, her name is Dot, and I were discussing a problem shared with us by a mutual friend, whose name I won’t mention. She had bravely extricated herself from an unfulfilling, unhappy situation. But, she decided to return. My friend, a very wise woman said, “She’s going to be the grass and he’s going to be the lawnmower.” Dot and I talked about it she said some important things. She said that when we’ve had the opportunity to grow and flourish, we should treasure the growth and protect it. She said that if we make the decision to return to the environment that thwarted growth it’s very likely that we’ll be cut down.
