Mark, and Good ol Gal JulieannaSUDS Episode – We’re going to settle the debate, or did we not. Cans or bottles? We purchased bottles and cans of each a year ago. Some stayed at room temp and some were refrigerated for a year. We did the same thing a year later. The room temp bottles and cans were put in the refrigerator the night before the episode to chill them down. These were all tasted blind. If you are a brewer, distributor, or retailer, this is that one episode you should check out.Our science experiment included taking 3 well recognized hoppy beers that we know and love:Pale Ale – American Pale Ale brewed with Cascade hops 5.6% ABV Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Chico CATwo Hearted Ale – American IPA brewed with Centennial hops 7% ABV Bell’s Brewery Comstock, MIStone IPA – west coast IPA brewed with Magnum, Chinook and Centennial hops. 9% ABV Stone Brewing, Escondido, CA Versions:1 year room temp can1 year room temp bottle1 year refrigerated can1 year refrigerated bottleFresh room temp canFresh room temp bottleFresh refrigerated canFresh refrigerated bottle 14:34 Sierra Nevada Pale Ale1 year room temp can –1 year room temp bottle-bottom – SUDS-21 year refrigerated can1 year refrigerated bottle – Top 3Fresh room temp canFresh room temp bottleFresh refrigerated can – Favorite – SUDS-5Fresh refrigerated bottle – Top 3 25:33 Bell’s Two-Hearted Ale1 year room temp can –1 year room temp bottle- favorite- SUDS-51 year refrigerated can –1 year refrigerated bottle –Fresh room temp canFresh room temp bottleFresh refrigerated can –Fresh refrigerated bottle –Worst version of this beer was SUDS-3, though we couldn’t agree on one 41:20 Stone IPA1 year room temp can –1 year room temp bottle-1 year refrigerated can1 year refrigerated bottle –Fresh room temp canFresh room temp bottleFresh refrigerated can –Fresh refrigerated bottle –We were all over the place with this [email protected]@sipssudssmokesSips, Suds, & Smokes™ is produced by One Tan Hand Productions using the power of beer, whiskey, and golf.
